Marking Yourself on the Web

During my web-design class, we put together all our work from September to the present into one website as an e-portfolio. We created a Wikispace, customized our page, posted our work in different pages to organize it for others to view and wrote about ourselves. While we created our e-portfolio, we also created a survey from Google Drive and embedded it on our Wiki. We also used a program called Audacity to create an audio greeting and created a QR code for our Wiki Page. Creating my own wiki is really helpful for me because it has all my work from school into one webpage for others to see. It shows my hard work and helps provide a better understanding of who I am and my interests.

Photoshop

Photoshop is a program that can be used to create and edit pictures to anything you want it to be with the tools it provides you with. I learned many things about this program that made me enjoy the time using it. In class we were taught how to create a header, logo, and other projects for our webpage. We also learned how to cut out a picture from its original background by using the magnetic lasso tool. On our last project with Photoshop,we had to create a picture using a character's head and switching it to a different body and a different background. My myth picture was a picture of Mario's head on Goku's body in a dark alley. It is suppose to be an alternate universe where they both combine their minds and have features of each other in the "real world".

History of The World Wide Web

There were many obstacles I had while researching for facts about the World Wide Web. One major obstacle I had was that it was difficult searching for the facts. The facts that I found on the internet were very interesting and informative. I discovered many new things that I didn't know about the World Wide Web. One thing that was interesting to me was that the first electronic general purpose computer was completed in 1946.

Blogs of Interest

I researched blogs in technology and food. There were many that interested me but two of the blogs that were the most intriguing to me were Assistive Technology Blog and Siriously Delicious. These two blogs were interesting to me because of the creativity the blogs had. These blogs caught my attention easily and also informed me of many things. I enjoy reading about the latest news about technology. It's just one place where I can have easy access to news that is only about tech.  The food blog was very interesting to me because the author wrote creative recipes which gave me good ideas for a future reference.

What I've Learned About Blogs

A blog is a website or webpage where you can post and share your thoughts and experiences with other people. It's important to have a blog because if you want other people to see what you think, this is a great way to share your messages with others. There are many websites that allow you to have a blog for free without buying your own domain. A blog can vary from many factors such as the topics you post, the theme you create, the pictures you want to post on it, and more. A blog doesn't have to be about you at all. You can post things that interest you. Blogs allow people to say what they feel easier than in school, where some people may be shy to put their thoughts out.
